This past week has been a busy one because I've been planning a baby shower for my sister and her husband, Jose! It's been a lot of fun gathering all the decorations, planning games, and buying gifts! I can't wait to meet little Baby Joshua!

We celebrated Jeremy's 24th birthday at Beerfest in Town Point Park in Norfolk. Best idea ever!!! It was such a gorgeous day to be outside! I had sooooo much fun! They should have beerfest every weekend of summer :)

Because I had some time off from school (one week, ehh?), I decided to get away from home and pay a visit to my old home, Arlington. I made it just in time for Eirene's birthday dinner! We went to Bon Chon in Annandale (they specialize in Korean Fried Chicken... it was heaven! Very similar to my recipe... teehee!) ... Followed by bing soo for dessert! :) I was so exhausted after dinner (as you can see above), but it felt real nice to indulge and be in the company of good friends!

This ended up being an exhausting day, but a good one... I definitely took advantage of the wonderful weather! Jerm, April and I ventured off to Granby St. in the evening where it was the opening night of Art Everywhere. Definitely check it out if you have not had a chance to! You might even get to take free photobooth pictures too :)

Tara decided to have an animal-themed birthday dinner (she's so young at heart! I love it!), and it was just a lot of fun! Tara was a sheep (Tara is to sheep what I am to birds) and I was supposed to be a bird, but I ended up looking more like a Native American, haha! I had a blast Tara! I began my day at Abbey's 8th birthday party at Jillians... I felt so old! I'm not used to being called "Auntie Melissa"... Eeeeek! Hehe, but I still had a good time! [Abbey's cake was almond/strawberry heaven! So, so good! I am eating a piece right now ;)]

I ended the day watching the Pacquiao vs. Clottey fight! I personally don't think it was a real memorable fight, but it was another victory for Pacquiao! Yaaay! Here we are in our Pacquiao shirts! I know that mine is the tackiest... but that's why I love it! :)

Happy Birthday, JP!

Saturday night consisted of plenty of sushi eating and birthday celebrating with good friends! It was a lot of fun! :)

Oh, and a Happy Valentine's Day to all the lovebirds and free-birds out there! I've seen many bitter and love-sickening Wall posts regarding this holiday, but really for me... it's just another day. I really do like Valentine's Day though, (maybe because deep down I'm a big, romantic cornball)... I read this post a couple of days ago on The Sartorialist and thought I would share a bit of it with you all for Valentine's Day:

"I'm telling you guys again, women notice the small stuff. They notice the gentleness/gentlemenliness more than if you use the right fork at dinner. I'm a very lucky man, Garance notices every little kindness I offer her, she doesn't miss a thing. Knowing that makes it so much more rewarding to do even more little things for her.
